QUICK FIX

Here’s a great way to kick-off a powerful downswing. Address the ball as normal – then pull your lead foot back against your trail foot so your ankles touch. Make a three-quarter backswing from this position, but start your downswing by replanting your lead foot back to its original address position. Make the move purposeful and aggressive, almost a stamp. Your lower body needs to lead your upper half into impact, and by getting some early momentum into your legs, knees and hips, this drill helps you feel and train that ideal power sequence.
